英语学习技巧：学习英语贵在坚持，找到适合自己的方法，多运用多温故
1.词汇：词汇是英语学习很重要的一部分，但是不要死记硬背，最好联系例句，这样对记忆也有很好的帮助
2.听力：建议精听略听相结合，要听写，边听边默，材料可挑简单点的初级听力题目，PETS则要求理解主旨要义获取事实性的具体信息。
3.作文：多关注语法，多看些外国文章
4.阅读：报纸；精读加速读
5.口语：找个同伴和你一起说英语，在实际应用中不断提高自己的英语水平
多听，听有代表性的专业朗读，最好是考试的听力练习
多写，各种题型都要写，但英语作文更要练，最好每天用英语写一篇日记
多背，单词是基础，一定要坚持背单词，扩大词汇量
多练，平时尝试用英语与同学对话，这样提高特别快
多读，每篇课文都读到滚瓜烂熟程度
儿童学习
兴趣是最好的老师，儿童英语学习不应要求孩子们掌握多少单词或句子，而应坚持将激发和培养儿童英语学习的兴趣放在首位，并将其作为儿童英语教育成效的一个重要指标。培养儿童学习兴趣，促进儿童全面发展应是英语教育机构的真正目的。
在儿童英语学习过程中，需要教师通过各种生动、形象、有趣的手段来营造轻松愉快的学习氛围，以激发儿童的兴趣，让孩子在轻松快乐的气氛中自然习得英语。同时，活动要尊重儿童的身心特点，难度要适宜，当孩子取得哪怕是一点点进步时，也要及时加以表扬和鼓励，这样孩子学习的兴趣会更高。否则，刚刚萌发的学习兴趣幼苗受到扼杀，将对学前儿童今后的学习产生巨大的负面作用，甚至终生影响其第二语言学习。

学习误区

误区一 学英语口语就一定要纠音？
很多教师和学生非常在意英语语音的问题，美式音还是英式音、元音是否饱满、辅音是否标准···在学习英语的过程中语音是一个不可忽略的环节，但语音问题并不是我们学习英语最大的目的。或者应该这样说，我们在学习英语中最终问题是能用英语沟通，而不是发音纯正与否，或是美音、英音问题。
许多人之所以口语差, 是因为他们不敢说, 羞于开口, 怕自己的发音不对, 别人听了会嘲笑。有些老师或者家长甚至在孩子说英语的过程中，纠正他们的发音。其实语音是一个比较复杂的问题, 它受到生理条件、地区方言等的影响。从生理条件分析, 英语发音与我们的口型、舌头和牙齿密切相关。有些语音受我们自身条件等限制,所以初中英语口语教学切忌以发音为主,初期交流有些语音问题别人听不懂时, 可以借助表情和手势等身体语言来达到交际目的。一旦走出语音误区, 我们会发现自己胆子大多了, 随时随地都敢大声说英语了,不知不觉自己就能自由自在的用英语表达思想了。
误区二 词汇越多表述越好
掌握标准纯正的语音是必须的，但却是远远不够的。一些中学生会有这样的问题，跟外国人无话可谈。这主要就是因为词汇掌握不够的问题。谈到词汇，这里就会出现一个在初中英语口语教学上的误区，那就是词汇量越大越好，词汇越难表述越清晰。
口语的词汇首先讲究的是适用性、准确性，如果谈到合适的话题也可以适当穿插，但并非必要。词汇一定用你熟悉的，一定是自己能驾驭的，即使简单点儿也无所谓。尤其是针对初中生，还没有掌握大量词汇运用的能力，建议学生在选择词汇时候，以正确表达为前提。
误区三 英语口语听力学习脱节
我们从小学习中文的时候，就是先听然后模仿。因为我们是根据实际的需要模仿，而且总是有人告诉我们什么是对的，什么是错的，所以只需很短的时间，我们就攻克了世界上最难学的语言——中文。但我们学英语的时候不是这样的，很多英语课程都把口语，听力，阅读和写作进行了分离，学生在学习的时候将所有的注意力集中到这一门科目上，在学口语的时候没有结合其他方面，其实这样做是不正确的，口语和其他的科目应该是相辅相成的。
误区四 别把老外当外教
我们很多家长都很认可西方的教育模式，所以选择外教。但是西方的成功的少儿教育理念并非是任何外国人都具有的。专业外教上课和一般的其他外国人就有很大的区别，专业外教的上课理念是充分在学习过程中要注意孩子全面的自主和认知能力的培养。是一种以能力培养来促进学习的教育模式。而那些非专业的外教，教学其实就是按照所在机构中教的安排来上课，其实是只得其形不具其意。那还不如一个发音很好，受过专业学习和训练的中教。
学习原则

英语学习六原则 英语学习应遵循以下六大原则。这些原则都是"常识"性的。正如美国总统林肯所说：一个人必须依据语言、逻辑和简单的常识来决定问题和建立自己的行动计划。在学习英语的过程中，你按照常理去做，你就可能成功。你违背了常理，就不可能成功。当然，成功与否还取决于你的努力。

Youth

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing appetite for what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart, there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, courage and power from man and from the infinite, so long as you are young.

When your aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you’ve grown old, even at 20; but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there’s hope you may die young at 80.

旅人的家
People need homes: children assume their parents' place as home; boarders call school "home" on weekdays; married couples work together to build new homes; and travelers … have no place to call "home", at least for a few nights.
人人都需要家：小孩子把父母的住所当做自己的家；寄宿生在平日把学校称为“家”；结了婚的夫妻要共同营造自己的新家；至于旅者呢……至少有几晚他们要住在不能称为“家”的地方！
So how about people who have to travel for extended periods of time? Don’t they have the right to a home? Of course they do.
那么那些不得不长期出门在外的人怎么办？难道他们无权拥有一个家吗？他们当然有！
Some regular travelers take their own belongings: like bed sheets, pillowcases and family photos to make them feel like home no matter where they are; some stay for long periods in the same hotel and as a result become very familiar with service and attendants; others may simply put some flowers by the hotel window to make things more homely. Furthermore, driving a camping car during one’s travels and sleeping in the vehicle at night is just like home -- only mobile!

People find ways to keep in touch. Making friends on the way helps travelers feel more or less at home. Backpackers in youth hostels may become very good friends, even closer than siblings.

Starting a new book is a risk, just like falling in love. You have to commit to it. You open the pages knowing a little bit about it maybe, from the back or from a blurb on the front. But who knows, right? Those bits and pieces aren’t always right.
读一本新书恰似坠入爱河，是场冒险。你得全身心投入进去。翻开书页之时，从序言简介直至封底你或许都知之甚少。但谁又不是呢？字里行间的只言片语亦不总是正确。

Sometimes people advertise themselves as one thing and then when you get deep into it you realize that they’re something completely different. Either there was some good marketing attached to a terrible book, or the story was only explained in a superficial way and once you reach the middle of the book, you realize there’s so much more to this book than anyone could have ever told you.
有时候你会发现，人们自我推销时是一种形象，等你再深入了解后，他们又完全是另一种模样了。有时拙作却配有出色的市场推销，故事的叙述却流于表面，阅读过半后，你方才发觉：这本书真是出乎意料地妙不可言，这种感受只要靠自己去感悟！

You start off slow. The story is beginning to unfold. You’re unsure. It’s a big commitment lugging this tome around. Maybe this book won’t be that great but you’ll feel guilty about putting it down. Maybe it’ll be so awful you’ll keep hate-reading or just set it down immediately and never pick it up again. Or maybe you’ll come back to it some night, drunk or lonely — needing something to fill the time, but it won’t be any better than it was when you first started reading it.
你慢慢翻页，故事开始缓慢展开，而你却依旧心存犹疑。阅读这样的巨著需要百分之百的投入。或许它并不是你想象中的伟大的作品，奈何半途弃读会使你觉得不安。又或许，故事真的很烂，你要么咬牙苦读下去，要么立刻放弃束之高阁。抑或某个酒醉或孤寂的夜晚，你又重新捡起这本书来——但只为打发时光。不管怎样，它并没有比你初次阅读时好多少。

Maybe you’re worn out. You’ve read tons of books before. Some were just light weights on a Kindle or Nook, no big deal really. Others were Infinite Jest-style burdens, heavy on your back or in your purse. Weighing you down all the time. Maybe you’ve taken some time off from reading because the last few books you read just weren’t worth it. Do they even write new, great works of literature anymore? Maybe that time you fell in love with a book before will just never happen for you again. Maybe it’s a once in a lifetime feeling and you’re never gonna find it again.

全国著名的推销大师，即将告别他的推销生涯，应行业协会和社会各界的邀请，他将在该城中最大的体育馆，做告别职业生涯的演说。  
那天，会场座无虚席，人们在热切地、焦急地等待着，那位当代最伟大的推销员，作精彩的演讲。当大幕徐徐拉开，舞台的正中央吊着一个巨大的铁球。为了这个铁球，台上搭起了高大的铁架。  
一位老者在人们热烈的掌声中，走了出来，站在铁架的一边。他穿着一件红色的运动服，脚下是一双白色胶鞋。  
人们惊奇地望着他，不知道他要做出什么举动。  
这时两位工作人员，抬着一个大铁锤，放在老者的面前。主持人这时对观众讲：请两位身体强壮的人，到台上来。好多年轻人站起来，转眼间已有两名动作快的跑到台上。  
老人这时开口和他们讲规则，请他们用这个大铁锤，去敲打那个吊着的铁球，直到把它荡起来。  
一个年轻人抢着拿起铁锤，拉开架势，抡起大锤，全力向那吊着的铁球砸去，一声震耳的响声，那吊球动也没动。他就用大铁锤接二连三地砸向吊球，很快他就气喘吁吁。  
另一个人也不示弱，接过大铁锤把吊球打得叮当响，可是铁球仍旧一动不动。  
台下逐渐没了呐喊声，观众好象认定那是没用的，就等着老人做出什么解释。  
会场恢复了平静，老人从上衣口袋里掏出一个小锤，然后认真地，面对着那个巨大的铁球。他用小锤对着铁球“咚”敲了一下，然后停顿一下，再一次用小锤“咚”敲了一下。人们奇怪地看着，老人就那样“咚”敲一下，然后停顿一下，就这样持续地做。  

十分钟过去了，二十分钟过去了，会场早已开始骚动，有的人干脆叫骂起来，人们用各种声音和动作发泄着他们的不满。老人仍然一小锤一停地工作着，他好象根本没有听见人们在喊叫什么。人们开始忿然离去，会场上出现了大块大块的空缺。留下来的人们好象也喊累了，会场渐渐地安静下来。  
大概在老人进行到四十分钟的时候，坐在前面的一个妇女突然尖叫一声：“球动了！”刹时间会场立即鸦雀无声，人们聚精会神地看着那个铁球。那球以很小的摆度动了起来，不仔细看很难察觉。老人仍旧一小锤一小锤地敲着，人们好象都听到了那小锤敲打吊球的声响。吊球在老人一锤一锤的敲打中越荡越高，它拉动着那个铁架子“哐、哐“作响，它的巨大威力强烈地震撼着在场的每一个人。终于场上爆发出一阵阵热烈的掌声，在掌声中，老人转过身来，慢慢地把那把小锤揣进兜里。  
老人开口讲话了，他只说了一句话：在成功的道路上，你没有耐心去等待成功的到来，那么，你只好用一生的耐心去面对失败。  

温馨提示：很多的人以为成功很难，成功要付出太多、成功会很痛苦，就不去想和追求。 实际上，只要我们注意观察，就会吃惊地发现，那些生活在贫困线上的人才是真的有耐心，有吃苦耐劳的品质，他们正是以这种惊人的耐心忍受着不成功的现实和生活。你可以不思成功，但你的生活并不会因此而轻松。你追逐成功，你会因此而生活得更好。 在成功的道路上，你没有耐心去等待成功的到来，那么，你只好用一生的耐心去面对失败太爱了大概是种罪吧！因为怕你会离开而困住你。

I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a horse ranch in San Ysidro. He has let me use his house to put on fund-raising events to raise money for youth at risk programs.

  The last time I was there he introduced me by saying, "I want to tell you why I let Jack use my house. It all goes back to a story about a young man who was the son of an itinerant horse trainer who would go from stable to stable, race track to race track, farm to farm and ranch to ranch, training horses. As a result, the boy"s high school career was continually interrupted. When he was a senior, he was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up.

  "That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his goal of someday owning a horse ranch. He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drew a diagram of a 200-acre ranch, showing the location of all the buildings, the stables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a 4,000-square-foot house that would sit on a 200-acre dream ranch.

  "He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the next day he handed it in to his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. On the front page was a large red F with a note that read, `See me after class."

  "The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class and asked, `Why did I receive an F?"

  "The teacher said, `This is an unrealistic dream for a young boy like you. You have no money. You come from an itinerant family. You have no resources. Owning a horse ranch requires a lot of money. You have to buy the land. You have to pay for the original breeding stock and later you"ll have to pay large stud fees. There"s no way you could ever do it.’ Then the teacher added, `If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will reconsider your grade.’

  "The boy went home and thought about it long and hard. He asked his father what he should do. His father said, `Look, son, you have to make up your own mind on this. However, I think it is a very important decision for you.’

  "Finally, after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the same paper, making no changes at all. He stated, `You can keep the F and I"ll keep my dream.""

  Monty then turned to the assembled group and said, "I tell you this story because you are sitting in my 4,000-square-foot house in the middle of my 200-acre horse ranch. I still have that school paper framed over the fireplace." He added, "The best part of the story is that two summers ago that same schoolteacher brought 30 kids to camp out on my ranch for a week." When the teacher was leaving, he said, `Look, Monty, I can tell you this now. When I was your teacher, I was something of a dream stealer. During those years I stole a lot of kids’ dreams. Fortunately you had enough gumption not to give up on yours.’"

  Don"t let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what.
我的一个朋友在圣地亚哥（San Diego）南部的圣伊西德罗（San Ysidro）社区拥有一个马场，他的名字叫曼迪罗伯茨（Monty Roberts）。他答应我可以用他的房子来举办一些活动，来为一些年轻人的风险投资计划方案募集资金。

“当晚，他写了7页纸的作业文章，构想是他将来想拥有一个马场。详述并绘制一幅图，图中，这个马场有200英亩大，以及各个相关建筑、马厩和跑道的具体地点。还有一个详细的建屋计划---一个坐落在200英亩马场里的4000平方英尺的大房子。”

“小男孩很用心完成了这篇作业，第二天交给了老师。两天后，作业发下来了。一个大大的红色的F出现在作业的头页，还有几个字：课后来见我”

“课后，这个内心充满梦想的小男孩来到了老师面前问：为什么我的作业只得了F呢？”

“老师说：像你这样的学生有这样的梦想非常的不切实际。你没有钱，又来自一个游走驯马师的家庭，你根本没有实现梦想所需要的资源。拥有一个马场需要很多的资金，你必须买地，买种马，将来你还要支付一大笔的配种费用。你根本就无法做到这些。老师接着说：如果你重新写一篇作业，说一些比较实际的理想。我会考虑重新给你打分。”

“小男孩回到家，仔细的想了好久好久。他问爸爸他究竟该怎么办。爸爸说：这样吧，儿子，这个决定由你自己做吧。但我想，这个决定对你来说也非常的重要”

“思考了整整一周的时间后，小男孩最后还是没有把作业做任何的改动，交了上去。跟老师说：你可以继续给我F的评分，而我却要继续保留我的梦想”

曼迪回过头对大家说：“跟你们说这些是因为你们现在就正坐在我的200英亩大的马场里的一个4000平方英尺的房子里面。那篇高中作业文章我一直留到现在，做了个框架，现在就挂在壁炉的上方。这个故事中，最精彩的部分是两个夏天之前，给我作业评分F的老师带着30个学生来到了我的马场，宿营了一周。当老师即将离开的时候，他说：曼迪，我可以这样跟你说，当我还是你的老师的时候，我简直就是一个盗取别人梦想的人。那些年，我偷了太多孩子的梦想了。让我感到欣慰和幸运的是，你却有足够的魄力和勇气没有放弃你自己的梦想。”

不要让任何人盗取你们的梦想。无论发生什么，跟随你的心，勇敢的前进吧！.

here is no better school than adversity. Every defeat, every  heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve my performance next time. Never again will I contribute to my downfall by refusing to face the truth and learn from my past mistakes. Because I know: gems cannot shine without polish, and I can not perfect myself without hardship.    Always will I seek the seed of triumph in every adversity.   I am better prepared , now ,to deal with any adversity . No matter what fate has in store for me to know that I will relish it or I will suffer it for only a brief,brief time.So very few understand this obvious truth while the rest allow their hopes and goals to vanish as soon as tragedy strikes. These unfortunately people carry with them, until they die their own bed of thorms and look to others. every day, for sympathy and  attention.Adversity will never destroy the person with courage and faith   Always will I seek the seed of triumph in every adversity.   Now I know that there are no times in life when opportunity, the chance to be and do gathers so richly about my soul when it has to suffer cruel adversity. Then everything depends on whether I raise my head or lower it in seeking help. Whenever I am struck down, in the future, by any terrible defeat, I will inquire of myself, after the first pain has passed, how I can turn that adversity into good. What a great opportunity that moment may present……to take the bitter root I am holding and transform it into fragrant garden of flowers.    Always will I seek the seed of triumph in every adversity.

What is Love? The eternal question we all carry around deep within our heart. Love is the eternal search. Love is eternal when we find it. But do we really ever find it ? When we define it do we negate it? When we set limits on what we believe to be love do we begin to destroy it by hoping to understand or own it for ourselves? We offer it through all of our relationship we vary our giving, often by what we hope to receive in return. But is this really love?

I recently overheard someone say in a conversation that there is no such thing as “ unconditional love .” I would have to agree, although for different reasons. Love within itself is unconditional. Anything else is only an attempt to love, a learning to get us nearer to the one true knowing of love. It may be honorable, well-intentioned, passionate and desiring, courageous and pure. It may be felt as temporary, but if lost easily it may not have been love at all. Love cannot be thwarted and often fall short of what we hope love will be. This is where we learn we are human.

That must be the story of innumerable couples， and the pattern of life of life it offers has a homely grace。 It reminds you of a placid rivulet， meandering smoothly through green pastures and shaded by pleasant trees， till at last it falls into the vasty sea; but the sea is so calm， so silent， so indifferent， that you are troubled suddenly by a vague uneasiness。 Perhaps it is only by a kink in my nature， strong in me even in those days， that i felt in such an existence， the share of the great majority， something amiss。 I recognized its social value。 I saw its ordered happiness， but a fever in my blood asked for a wilder course。 There seemed to me something alarming in such easy delights。 In my heart was desire to live more dangerously。 I was not unprepared for jagged rocks and treacherous， shoals it I could only have change-change and the excitement of unforeseen。

这一定是世间无数对夫妻的生活写照，这种生活模式给人一种天伦之美。它使人想起一条平静的溪流，蜿蜒畅游过绿茵的草场，浓荫遮蔽，最后注入烟波浩渺的汪洋大海；但是大海太过平静，太过沉默，太过不动声色，你会突然感到莫名的不安。也许这只是我自己的一种怪诞想法，在那样的时代，这想法对我影响很深：我觉得这像大多数人一样的生活，似乎欠缺了一点儿什么。我承认这种生活有社会价值，我也看到了它那井然有序的幸福，但我血液里的冲动却渴望一种更桀骜不驯的旅程．这样的安逸中好像有一种叫我惊惧不安的东西．我的心渴望一种更加惊险的生活。只要生活中还能有变迁———以及不可知的刺激，我愿意踏上怪石嶙峋的山崖，奔赴暗礁满布的海滩。
