Dear Teachers,
One of your students is currently participating in the English language and literacy enrichment programs at the Starbugs Academy. Our learning systems are designed to introduce young students to original, award-winning children's literature in English within the context of a North American language arts curriculum. Our programs include reading, phonics, spelling, writing, listening, and speaking. You can learn more about us on our website at

We are writing to you because we want to work with local teachers of English to develop interesting lessons about Expo 2010. We would like to invite you to attend our “Expo in English” colloquium on October __, 2009, from (starting time) to (ending time). Lunch will be served.
We will begin with a brief introduction for all participants, followed by break-out sessions into small groups (teams) to discuss a specific type of Expo lesson. At the end of the morning we will share the results from each team before adjourning to have lunch together.
