Who can recommend some foreign books to get to know the history, culture of USA or UK? Easy to read, it's more funny!.

History books for teenagers are quite easy to read. I saw a series called "MY STORY" in a bookshop in England. This series were all of the unforgettable moments in history of UK. The Plague, The Titanic, The Blitz and The destruction of Pompeii were written in 17 Diary-style tales. They were truly voices from the past. Moreover, they are not as dull as adults' ones..

I have been to the book store here but couldn't find them..

Thanks for your kind help. Anyway I remember the book name and can look up this one while go around in foreign book store. Possibly I can find it while visit overseas.
