what kind of quality that you are proud of yourself most

Yesterday, I watched a dialogue of Mr MaWeiDu, the famous antique collector, one word from him touched me deeply, he said:"my biggest treasure is not the antique that I have right now, my biggest treasure is myself, even if  all my treasure was deprived from me over night, I myself can still lead a decent life with the knowledge that I hold in my brain"
Just like the literacy figure Jane Eyre said:"Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong."  God hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.
But somebody may be ostentatious about some thing else, they may say"since I was born in a well-round family, and I was handed over to a rich husband and he will nurture me for the rest of my life"
or somebody might think, I am a lucky dog, I've got many real-estate blah blah, very much wealthy
those are all good thing though, but from your very  visceral mind, what kind of quality you valued yourself most,
maybe it is kindness, or your deep passions to your family, or something else?.

that's not the point, I don't think Jane eyre's self-respective comes from his plain appearance, it is not a sour grape like thinking,
Just like MaWeiDu, he has both wealth and mind, but he valued his mind much more that his wealth.
like your son, he might have many different toys, but he must got one that he likes best, it might not be the most expensive one, or the newest one..

i like Maweidu very much, he's just like a fountain of wisdom, with his pure words, we read a colourful history of China.

Totally agreed with Nicemum, nowadays, people compare and compete with each others with wealth and so called "success", overlook the inner beauties like kindness, graceful soul...once pealed off all the external resources, we are so poor....

To me, that is good personality.

Being tender externally but strong internally, a lady with easy access is always blessed..

right, I mean a lady with great mind may also has lavishing vital statistics, and maybe wealthy as well, but she might value more on her spirit than the superficial outside.
she might show generous, kind to all the person surrounding her,
that would count great much than the snobbish person bully others ruthless.
it is same true for man.
that is what we are expecting for our children to possess when they grow up.
I mean competition is a good thing, but we should give our children a right guidence on what to compete for..

for me, I am blessed with a easy going nature. I don't dwell on the negative side of things, rather try to accept and move on.
