Job Description and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose
To support the growth of opportunities in large air separation plants, there is a vacancy in the Project Development Engineering within the Cryogenic Systems Product Supply Team (PST) located in Shanghai.
The Cryogenic Systems PST has to be a competitive supplier of large air separation units employing world-class products, quality and technology. The PST designs and builds oxygen plants in the 300+ MT/D range and can have a combination of any of the following products: gaseous and/or liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon and rare gasses. The PST is a global PST with resources located in UK, USA and Shanghai. The PST provides product development, proposal development and project execution services including a full turnkey capability, to the commercial teams who manage assets and opportunities on a worldwide basis. We support both sale of gas and sale of equipment opportunities. Projects range in size from US $5 million to in excess of US $200 million.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Managing the interface between the Engineering and Commercial groups for allocated opportunities, assisting with development of commercial strategies, based on technical solutions for the full range of the Cryogenic Systems ASU products. Definition of project scope, project costs, project execution strategies, bidding costs, bid duration, budget vs firm bid decisions and risk management activities.
Provide a leadership role in the development of proposals to meet customer requirements. Develop winning solutions with design and technology groups and with the operations group where relevant, support the sales efforts with customer and site visits, and help develop project execution strategies with the project and engineering management teams. Liaise and coordinate proposal input from other global engineering centers as necessary
Develop Technical Documentation to be included with the commercial proposal to promote the key technical features of the bid and also define the detailed scope of supply
